Your Dental Implant Options

Our full mouth dental implants experts are certified by Nobel Biocare™ to place All-on-4 dental implants, which make it possible to replace an entire arch of teeth with the support of four dental implants. The implants in the back are angled, making it possible for patients with bone deficiencies to receive a new smile without bone grafting. Our on-site lab allows us to restore new smiles quickly, efficiently and with precise attention to detail and quality control.

When you’re replacing a missing tooth, a dental implant is the absolute closest thing to your natural tooth. The dental implant post functions as the tooth root, actively stimulating healthy bone growth and restoring full function to the implant. Each implant is restored with a custom dental crown for a seamless smile and natural-looking esthetics. No one will know the difference!

Traditional dental bridges require modification of adjacent teeth and crowns to support the false tooth in a bridge. By using one or more dental implants to support a new bridge of teeth, adjacent teeth are left intact. This is ideal option if you have two or more missing teeth in a row.

What to Expect on Your Dental Implant Journey

Whether you see us for full mouth dental implants or Invisalign clear aligners, at your first consultation, we’ll discuss your dental and medical history, take digital X-rays and images with an intraoral camera

If we decide together that All-on-4 full mouth dental implants are the best option for you, we use cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) to analyze your bone structure, nerve tissue and sinus cavities. The images are combined into a 3D image we use to precisely plan implant placement.

When you return for dental implant surgery, Dr. Will can extract any remaining teeth during the same visit. You’ll receive a temporary bridge to wear during the three to six-month healing process.

In addition to local anesthesia, we offer different sedation options to ensure your ultimate comfort.

Common Questions We’re Asked About Dental Implants

A dental implant is made up of three parts: a titanium or ceramic post, an abutment and a restoration. Built to function like natural tooth roots, dental implants provide bone support and a stable foundation for a single dental crown, a dental bridge, a denture or a full arch prosthesis.
Many patients are either candidates for dental implants already, or they can qualify after receiving preparatory treatments like bone grafting and tooth extractions. Candidacy is more accurately determined after a comprehensive consultation and evaluation with an implant dentist.

The cost of dental implants is based on many factors, including how many teeth are missing and for how long, the types of materials used, and what additional procedures are needed. Our team can help you apply for dental financing and will file insurance claims on your behalf to help you afford treatment.

Dental implant treatment can range from a few months to over a year. In many cases, implants can be surgically placed soon after the consultation and treatment plan are complete. For patients needing bone grafting, this may be a separate procedure requiring several months of healing before dental implant surgery. After dental implants are placed, healing can take three or more months before optimal integration is achieved and a final restoration can be permanently attached. In many cases, patients can wear a temporary restoration during healing.
Dental implants are designed to last for decades and have the potential to last for the rest of your life! Surgical technology and clinical experience, along with your health habits, ultimately affect the longevity of your implants. Choosing an experienced implant team like ours at Winterholler Dentistry & Implant Surgery will provide you with a much more precise and accurate surgery, which will better guarantee the long-term success of your treatment.
